Rumor: LaRoche could land in Anaheim
According to several baseball sources, first baseman Adam LaRoche could see himself being dealt to the LA Angels of Anaheim if the club can't lock in a deal for Mark Teixiera. Without Teix, the Halos are terribly weak at first, with Kendry Morales currently penciled in to start. The Angels are also after a power bat nonetheless, and may take a chance with 'second-half' Adam. LaRoche hit .270/.341/.500 in AVG/OBP/SLG, while the All-Star switch-hitter in Teixiera hit .308/.410/.552. Clearly, Teix is the better player, but when he puts a complete season together, LaRoche can be dangerous from the left side.
